Sahadevan KP, embarked on his teaching journey at Valoor Government U.P. School, Perambra in Kozhikode. In an era when children were in fear of the cane-wielding math teacher, he sought to replace dread with curiosity, transforming mathematics into an art of simplicity and joy. Learning through plays he would say, turning mathematical concepts into games gets effortlessly in young minds. After three decades of dedicated teaching, his passion remains undiminished, as he continues to nurture a love for learning, carrying forward his mission with unwavering devotion.

സഹദേവൻ മാസ്റ്റർ, പ്രൈമറി സ്കൂൾ അധ്യാപകനായി കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലയിലെ പേരാമ്പ്ര, വാളൂർ ഗവ.യു.പി.സ്കൂളിൽ സേവനമാരംഭിച്ചു. കണക്ക് മാഷിന്റെ കയ്യിലെ ചൂരൽ വടി സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടുണരുന്ന കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളുടെ കാലത്ത് നിന്ന് ആ പേടി മാറ്റിയെടുത്ത് ഗണിതത്തെ ഏറ്റവും ലളിതമായി കുട്ടികളിലേക്കെത്തിക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമമായിരുന്നു മാഷിന്റേത്. കളിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് കണക്ക് പഠിക്കാം എന്നതായിരുന്നു മാഷിന്റെ ആപ്തവാക്യം. മുപ്പത് വർഷങ്ങൾ നീണ്ട അദ്ധ്യാപനജീവിതത്തിനുശേഷവും ആ ഉദ്യമം മാഷ് ഇന്നും തുടർന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

Self Made Maths Lab

He introduced an innovative initiative called the "Self Made Math Lab," in 2008 where students could make their own mathematical learning aids to enhance their understanding of mathematics. This groundbreaking project received national recognition and was successfully implemented in over 500 schools across Kerala, significantly improving the methods of math education. .

ഗണിത ശാസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ അറിവ് വർധിപ്പിക്കാൻ കുട്ടികൾക്ക് സ്വയം നിർമിച്ചെടുക്കാവുന്ന ഗണിത പഠനസഹായികൾ ചേർത്ത് സ്വയം നിർമിത ഗണിത ലാബ് എന്ന ഒരു നവീന പദ്ധതിക്ക് 2008 ൽ രൂപം നൽകി ദേശീയ അംഗീകാരം നേടി. ഈ മാതൃക കേരളത്തിലെ 500-ലധികം സ്കൂളുകളിൽ നടപ്പാക്കി ഗണിത പഠന രീതി മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്താൻ സഹായിച്ചു.

Digital Impact

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he launched a youtube channel Sahadevan Master KP delivering 1000+ online classes on geometrical patterns and their mathematical insights. This effort brought the joy of learning to thousands of students during challenging times. This initiative unexpectedly sparked a deep interest in mathematics and learning among many students. It helped numerous students excel in math fairs and other competitions. Geometric drawings and mathematics fairs gained unprecedented popularity. To ensure that every student received the necessary support for their preparation, he provided guidance both online and in person, making sure they were well-equipped and confident.

കോവിഡ് കാലത്ത് Sahadevan Master KP എന്ന പേരിൽ യൂട്യൂബ് ചാനൽ ആരംഭിച്ചു. ജ്യാമിതീയ ചിത്രങ്ങളുടെ നിർമാണം അവയുടെ ഗണിതാത്മക വിശകലനം എന്നിവ സംബന്ധിച്ച 1000-ലധികം ഓൺലൈൻ ക്ലാസുകൾ നൽകി. ഈ ഉദ്യമം അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായി ഒരുപാട് വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളെ ഗണിതത്തിലും അതുവഴി പഠനത്തിലും തല്പരരാക്കി. ധാരാളം വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് ഗണിതശാസ്ത്രമേളയിലും മറ്റു മത്സരങ്ങളിലും മികവ് തെളിയിക്കാൻ സഹായിച്ചു. ജ്യാമിതീയ ചിത്രങ്ങൾക്കും ഗണിതശാസ്ത്രമേളകൾക്കും പതിവിലധികം ജനകീയത കൈവന്നു. അതിനായുള്ള തയ്യാറെടുപ്പിൽ ഓരോ കുട്ടികൾക്കും വേണ്ടുന്ന സഹായം ഓൺലൈൻ വഴിയും നേരിട്ടും ഉറപ്പുവരുത്തി അവരെ സജ്ജരാക്കാൻ മാഷ് പ്രത്യേകം ശ്രദ്ധ ചെലുത്തികൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

Workshops and Training

Conducted over 3,000 workshops for students, teachers, and parents, focusing on creative approaches to learning mathematics. Serving as a Key Resource Person (KRP) and SRG Trainer, supporting the development and execution of state-level mathematics projects.

അധ്യാപകർക്കും വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്കും രക്ഷിതാക്കൾക്കും ഗണിത പഠനത്തിൽ സൃഷ്ടിപരമായ സമീപനങ്ങൾ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനായി 3000-ലധികം ഏകദിന ശിൽപശാലകൾ നടത്തി. സംസ്ഥാനതല ഗണിത പദ്ധതികളുടെ രൂപകൽപ്പനയിലും നടപ്പാക്കലിലും പിന്തുണ നൽകിക്കൊണ്ട് കീ റിസോഴ്സ് പേഴ്സൺ (KRP) ആയി പ്രവർക്കുന്നു. എസ്‌.ആർ‌.ജി ട്രെയിനറായും സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നു.

Mentoring Excellence

He has trained numerous students from the school level to the South India level, helping them achieve awards and recognition. Each student received special attention and personalized guidance.

സ്കൂൾ മുതൽ ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യാ തലം വരെ നിരവധി കുട്ടികളെ പരിശീലിപ്പിക്കുകയും സമ്മാനാർഹരാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഓരോ കുട്ടികൾക്കും പ്രത്യേക പരിഗണന നൽകി മാർഗനിർദ്ദേശങ്ങൾ നൽകി.
In addition to this, he serves as a resource person for various training programs aimed at identifying and mentoring talented students, including Sastraposini, Gifted Children, training program conducted at the Kerala School of Mathematics and many more.
